Katie Riley attended the University of Dayton and earned a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. She moved to Nashville shortly after to begin her career as a Special Education Teacher in the Metro Nashville Schools.
After 2 years of teaching, she decided she wanted to further her education and pursue a Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. She transitioned from the schools to a pediatric clinical company to work as a registered behavior technician and then moved into a Board Certified Behavior Analyst role at the same company working in the public school setting.
Katie is involved in the Best Buddies program in Nashville and also teaches a group of Special Olympics tennis. “Being a part of both organizations has driven me to chase my dream of working with adults with ASD and striving to help build and develop skills based on their interests and individual gifts.” She loves individualizing treatment according to one’s interests and strengths and implementing interventions/supports to reach their goals.
Katie has a lot of experience working with diverse individuals of all ages and carrying out evidence-based practices. She is so honored to be a part of such a supportive and close working team to make it all happen.
Katie lives with her husband, Kevin, in the Nashville area. She loves to spend quality time with friends, trying out new restaurants, playing tennis, and watching and going to sporting events with Kevin.
