Remembering Matthew
Matthew Powell started ACT in the middle of the pandemic in 2020 and faithfully served as the Executive Director throughout his battle with stomach cancer. “Mr. Matt” tirelessly worked to create an environment for individuals with autism to thrive in the postsecondary world. He was well loved and always willing to meet every family and trainee at their point of need. We are so grateful for how he dedicated himself to building ACT into what it is today.

Who We Are
Autism Career Training (ACT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides center-based vocational and prevocational training for individuals on the autism spectrum. We use research-based interventions to prepare our trainees to succeed in meaningful careers and become contributing members of their communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower individuals with autism by celebrating their unique strengths, building their independence and vocational skills, and supporting their full inclusion and recognition within the community.
Create Opportunities
When you donate to ACT, you are enabling our staff to reach more candidates and create more opportunities for life-changing training and career placement. Your donation will be used to offset expenses related to our training programs in order to keep the cost to families low. All donations are tax-deductible.
Prepare for Success
Upon exiting our programs, trainees will demonstrate the skills needed for meaning job placement and active participation within their communities.
