Remembering Matthew
Matthew Powell started ACT in the middle of the pandemic in 2020 and faithfully served as the Executive Director throughout his battle with stomach cancer. “Mr. Matt” tirelessly worked to create an environment for individuals with autism to thrive in the postsecondary world. He was well loved and always willing to meet every family and trainee at their point of need. We are so grateful for how he dedicated himself to building ACT into what it is today.

Who We Are
Autism Career Training (ACT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides center-based vocational and prevocational training for individuals on the autism spectrum. We use research-based interventions to prepare our trainees to succeed in meaningful careers and become contributing members of their communities.
Our Mission
At Autism Career Training, our mission is to identify the abilities of our trainees and to transform those abilities into job skills desired by employers. We use therapy-based services and hands-on programs designed to prepare trainees for success in the workplace and in everyday pre-vocational skills.
