Who We Are
Autism Community Training is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides center-based vocational and prevocational training for individuals on the autism spectrum. We use research-based interventions to prepare our trainees to succeed in meaningful careers and become contributing members of their communities.
Our Mission
To empower individuals with autism by celebrating their unique strengths, building their independence and vocational skills, and supporting their full inclusion and recognition within the community
Help Adults Build Fuller Lives
When you give to Autism Community Training, you help create meaningful opportunities for adults with autism to build independence, confidence, communication, and connection through hands-on learning at ACT and throughout the community. Your support helps offset the cost of life-skills instruction, community-based experiences, program materials, transportation, and other resources that allow our trainees to learn, participate, and grow.
THE ACT DIFFERENCE
At ACT, we don’t ask, “Where are we going today?”We ask, “What are we teaching today?” Whether we’re shopping for groceries, volunteering with a community partner, ordering a slushie, or walking through a park, every experience is intentionally designed to build independence, confidence, communication, self-advocacy, and meaningful community connections.
Learning happens everywhere.
Prepare for Success
Trainees practice using what they learn at ACT across different people, places, and situations—building the flexibility and skills neededfor everyday life.
