Speech Language Therapy

ACT offers comprehensive speech language therapy services for young adults who are transitioning into adulthood, as well as adults of all ages on the spectrum. For trainees enrolled in our day program (ASD level 2 or 3), we work with the individuals and their families to identify personal strengths and weaknesses in order to develop functional goals and accommodations to improve cognitive-communication abilities, increase independence, and implement individualized strategies/tools to facilitate success across various settings. For outpatient clients (ASD level 1), we work with the individuals to learn practical strategies and concepts that will help them reach their goals, enhance understanding of the social and communication skills required to form positive social experiences, and improve self-awareness and emotional regulation.
